For Macs with built-in or external OLED displays
The window manager that keeps your OLED healthy.
Snap windows into halves, thirds and quarters with a shortcut or a drag. Behind the scenes, OLEDSnap shifts them a pixel at a time, so bright window edges don't sit on the same OLED pixels for hours.
Launching soon for macOS 13 or later. One email at launch, nothing else.
A complete window manager
Everything you'd expect from a Mac window manager, so OLEDSnap can replace the one you use now.
Keyboard snapping
Halves, quarters, thirds, two-thirds, maximize, center and restore, each one shortcut away. Change any shortcut you like.
Drag to snap
Push a window to a screen edge or corner and let go. Corners make quarters, sides make halves, the top maximizes, the bottom makes thirds.
Green-button menu
Rest the pointer on a window's green button to pick a layout from a small grid.
Portrait displays
On a vertical monitor the same shortcuts do the sensible thing: thirds become top, middle and bottom bands.
Multiple displays
Send a window to the next or previous display, keeping its relative size and position.
Your setup, everywhere
Shortcuts and settings sync between your Macs through your own iCloud account.

OLED protection, built in
OLED pixels wear according to what they show and for how long. Window edges, title bars and dividers are some of the most static, high-contrast lines on a Mac screen. Because OLEDSnap controls where your windows sit, it can keep those lines moving.
Orbit
Every few minutes, each snapped window steps 1 pixel around a small square centered on where you snapped it, so no edge stays on one pixel column. It waits until you pause typing or scrolling, so nothing moves while you work. Move a window yourself and OLEDSnap leaves it alone.
Snap jitter
Snapped windows land a few pixels differently over time. Edges against the screen border stay put; only the inner edges vary.
Idle dimming
Step away and the screen gently dims after a few minutes. Any keystroke or mouse movement brings it back.
Each effect is adjustable or can be switched off. The menu-bar menu shows when windows last moved, so you can see protection working.

Questions
Will OLEDSnap prevent burn-in?
No software can guarantee that. Burn-in depends on your display, its brightness, its own protection features and how you use it. What OLEDSnap does is reduce how long static window edges stay on the same pixels, and dim the screen when you're away. Keep your display's own care features turned on too.
Why isn't it on the Mac App Store?
Moving other apps' windows needs macOS's Accessibility permission, and apps sold through the Mac App Store aren't allowed to use it that way. So OLEDSnap is sold directly, and is signed and notarized by Apple.
What permissions does it need?
Only Accessibility, which lets it move and resize windows. It doesn't record your screen or read your keystrokes beyond its own shortcuts.
Does it collect any data?
The app has no analytics or tracking. Activating a license sends your key and your Mac's name to Lemon Squeezy to verify it. Settings sync uses your own iCloud account. See the privacy policy.
Which Macs and displays does it support?
Any Mac running macOS 13 Ventura or later. The protection features are made for OLED screens, whether that's your Mac's own display or an OLED monitor you've connected; the window management works with any display.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If OLEDSnap isn't for you, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Details are in the refund policy.
